Often times, the classics are a “classic” for a reason! Banana Chocolate Chip Pancakes are a childhood favourite. They’re sweet, fluffy, and simple to make. Homemade pancake batter doesn’t take any more time than using store-bought, and you have better control over the freshness and ingredient list.
My husband and I love making pancakes on camping trips. They’re quick, no fuss, and definitely filling! Our traditional “go-to” is Blueberry Buttermilk, but sometimes, Banana Chocolate Chip will make an appearance.
Here is my quick and easy recipe for Classic Banana Chocolate Chip Pancakes!
Banana Chocolate Chip Pancakes Recipe:
1 1/2 Cups of Flour
2 Bananas (Mashed)
1/2 Cup of Chocolate Chips
2 Teaspoons of Baking Powder
1 1/4 Cup of Milk
1 Large Egg
1 Teaspoon of Vanilla
1 Tablespoon of Sugar
For Toppings:
Extra Bananas
Butter
Real Maple Syrup
Instructions for Banana Chocolate Chip Pancakes:
1: Mix Flour, Baking Powder, and Sugar together in a bowl. Make a well in the center.
2: In a seperate bowl, mix milk, egg, vanilla, and bananas together.
3: Pour your milk mix into your flour mix, and beat with a whisk. Stir in your chocolate chips.
4: Heat a frying pan to medium heat. Drop in a tablespoon of butter, and allow to melt. Drop pancake batter into the pan. Once you see bubbles forming around the exterior of the pancake, it’s ready to flip.
5: Repeat process until all of your batter has been used.
Enjoy!
Delicious😋😋😋
They’re a nice treat every once and a while! 🙂
I cannot wait to try this! 😍 I have been looking for the perfect banana pancakes since leaving Maui. That was several years ago. 😏
I hope you like them! That’s the hard part about leaving a travel destination. I have so many things I miss from different places haha. 🙂
Sounds like my kind of hot cakes. We don’t have proper chocolate chips here so I’ll just wack up some 70% Swedish chocolate and go for it.
Swedish chocolate would be even better 🙂
